The display shows the time (in either 12-hour or 24-hour format), and can be programmed to display 12 different display color options, along with rotating color display options. This clock runs on three AAA batteries, but does require the USB to be plugged in at ALL TIMES in order to permanently display the time. When the clock is not plugged in, the time reading will disappear, requiring you to tap on the top of the clock in order to re-appear.
